antiword

NAME
     antiword --- Displays MS-Word files

SYNOPSIS
     antiword [switches] wordfile1 [wordfile2 ...]

DESCRIPTION
antiword is used to display the contents of a Word
document without using Word; it can convert such a document
into PostScript form (viewable with ghostview) or to plain
     text form.

     An associated script, word (/usr/local/bin/word),
makes things even easier by prompting the user for the choice
of PostScript and text, using antiword to create a new
(temporary) PostScript or text file from the Word document,
     and then displaying the result.
