The Department of Applied Mathematics seeks a student system administrator. Applicants must be familiar with Unix and Linux (Ubuntu preferred), and should be familiar with Windows (XP and later), and Mac (OS 10.6 and later). They should be comfortable on the command line, possess experience with scripting languages (bash preferred), and have a good knowledge of computer networking. The successful applicant will be patient and eager to learn new skills.

Initial duties will involve desktop support and lab administration. With time, these duties will grow to encompass other areas of system administration. Salary range is $8-$12 an hour based on experience; hours per week are negotiable. These hours may be expanded drastically in special circumstances.
