Policy
Textbooks belonging to the Applied Math Department will be issued following strict rules.
Procedure
• Textbooks will not be issued to students who are not teaching the course or studying for preliminary tests.
• Faculty will not be restricted on the number of departmental textbooks they have checked out at once (two is the normal limit, after two requested books reasons must be given to Ian for supplementary books).
• Personal copies of textbooks can be purchased through Ian Cunningham from the requester’s budget.
• Textbooks are issued for one semester for graduate students.
• Textbooks are issued for one year for faculty.
• Graduate students and faculty must come in to Ian Cunningham’s office and “renew” checkout if they will be using the text the next semester.
• Ian Cunningham must see the checked-out book once a semester.
