The Department of Applied Mathematics prides itself on its community atmosphere. Its competent administration and staff keep the department running smoothly. Its world-class faculty, outstanding instructors and lecturers, and graduate student TAs provide students with a challenging and rewarding education. The faculty, along with an expanding affiliate faculty, provide research opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate students. The department continuously has visitors from within the US and around the world. The APPM community continues to grow each year as new alumni seek employment in academia and industry. The department likes to keep in touch with its alumni and features the success of its alumni in its annual newsletter.
