The On-Line Version of the XV 3.10a Manual

xv logo Use xv to display image files of various formats: PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIF, PBM. It can be used for some touchup work also, including resizing, editing color tables, some simple cut/paste and labeling. The command display may do better at displaying, and xpaint may do better for touchup work, but xv is often sufficient in both those realms. Experiment with all the buttons and menus.
