Tutorials for the VI editor;
vitutor and vilearn

On the Suns in the Newton Lab you can type the Unix command ``vitutor'' for a hands-on tutorial designed for the beginner. It takes about 25 minutes to complete and then you are equipped for all basic editing needs.

Yet another tutorial, also aimed at the novice user, is ``vilearn''. It covers mostly the same stuff as vitutor but perhaps its style will please you more.

Both of these tutorials are hands-on rather than just something to read: they take the user through actual vi sessions, since the best way to learn vi is by using it.
