On your homework, write your name, your instructor's name, and your section number in the upper right corner. Homework solutions should be written neatly in pencil. Box in answers. Leave space between problems for grader comments. Please staple pages together and trim spiral notebook fringes.
We want you to do well in this course. The keys to success are simple: read the book and do your homework regularly. Ask questions when you do not understand. Since some of the answers are in the back of the book, you will get no credit for simply writing down the answer; you must show your work. No late homework will be graded.
You are encouraged to discuss the homework problems with other students in the class, and to work on the problems together, but each student is required to write up and to submit his/her own homework set. You are not permitted to copy another student's homework, even if you worked on the problems together. Violation of the Student Academic Honesty Advising Guidelines will result in a course grade of F. Remember, giving unauthorized help is also considered a violation and incurs the same penalties as receiving help. If you are uncertain about whether or not something is cheating, please consult your instructor.
