This application was derived from the ViewFramework application done in class. I added a few simple animations in each frame so the names of the continents rolled in, and so that it zoomed in to the correct continent. I made a few mistakes with the animations of the titles, so they aren’t all uniform, but I ended up liking the variations so I stuck with those. I found a few actual facts from the internet, and the rest I just made up to fill the space in the text area under the World Map. I found the image of the map online and then altered the colors to fit better in my application. There were a few things that I could do to make the application a little better, one being making it so that when you click on a different button, the map zoomed out to the full sized map and then back into the specified continent. Also, I thought it would be interesting to do something other than continents, but I couldn’t come up with anything that would go well. |
