Andy Bordon- Ninjas

Application Commentary
This application allows users to actively participate in the learning process. By clicking to learn more, users will be guided through a controlled presentation about an interesting piece of Japanese history. The purpose of this application is to motivate the user to pay attention and have control of his/her learning experience. This application explores a potential medium for presenting information in many different environments (classrooms, meetings, etc). I chose the topic of ninjas because I have always been a fan of martial arts and the large mystery behind ninjas. The way in which ninjas have notriously exploited the use of deceit, hand-to-hand combat, and weapons in order to achieve their goals in fascinating. In a time where power in the world was won and lost over battles fought with steel and numbers, ninjas played an undeniably important role. I presented this information in a more comedic way than historic, as my experience with learning has always been positively enforced when I’m laughing or enjoying myself. I attempted to animate a few slides as to draw more attention to the presentation, as well as to add a little flavor. I used highly contrasting colors to make sure everything being presented was clear and legible, but also not too painful on the eyes. As much as I have made this presentation a joke, there are a few things that are true with regard to the nature and history of the ninja way. Enjoy!
