This fun game shows either Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, or William Shakespeare dancing on a disco dance floor as well as a quote from the respective person. This application is a combination of the matrix, bone tool, and aphorism labs created by John Flynt. It features a disco dance floor to the right and a text interface to the left. Upon clicking, a quote will appear in the text box and the person who said it will appear on the dance floor and dance. The text interface is essentially the aphorisms lab. I used random number generators and arrays to display a random quote whenever the user clicks. Instead of creating a random symbol, however, I used a switch statement to check who said the quote then show the corresponding dancer. The “Quote Disco” title beneath the text interface is a paintbrush fill that was converted into a symbol. It uses two classic tweens to make it grow progressively brighter then dimmer again. The dance floor is made of three matrix symbols made in the matrix lab. I changed the size of the circles, size of the matrix, and time interval between color changes to make it more interesting. I used some white lines and rectangles to clearly separate the dance floor from the black background. The three dancers are individual movieclip symbols that utilize the bone tool and armature layers to make them dance.
