- The final letter grade for the course will show up on
CUConnect as soon as they are available.
If you wish to
see your final exam, you may stop by your instructors office
during the first part of
the Spring semester.
Here is the
histogram
of the final exam. It has been scaled
so that 200 points is equal to 100 percent.
Based on a possible 200 points, the mean was 121,
the standard deviation was 32, and the highest score was 192.

- A corrected version of Lab 3 is now posted under the "Projects" tab.
(The equation for
curl of a vector field in polar coordinates has
been corrected, and a few additional
comments have been added.)

The hard copy of the third project is due
at the start of
class on Monday, November 30, 2009.
- You will not need to submit either the second or third project
electronically to CULearn.
- The deadline for submitting the electronic copy of the second
project is postponed until further notice.
So relax for now and
we will email you (or post the information here)
when we have a new deadline.
- Due to the snow closure of the University, the due date for
the second lab (hard-copy),
and the next homework assignment,
have been extended to the start of class on Friday, October 30.
- The link to sign-up for Lab 2 groups is now posted on CULearn.
If you look under the
"Projects" tab
you will also find the deadlines for
registering your project group and
submitting your electronic
copy of the second project in CULearn. Bottom line:
Hard copy is due at the start of recitation on October 29, 2009.
Group registration ends on Friday, October 30, 2009.
Electronic copy is due on Friday, November 6, 2009 (the link has not been added yet).
- CULearn may actually be working so that you can upload
your first projects.
Please go the the "Projects" tab of the main course
web page, scroll down till
you find the "Submitting your
projects in CULearn" section and take a look at the
directions
and requirements.
You only need to have one person from each
group upload the project by October 16, 2009.

copy of the
project in CULearn.
The hard copy of the project is due at the start of

midterm exam can be found

midterm
times and rooms.
We have also posted some review materials as well as some
oral-exam style questions
in
case you would like to form small groups and conduct your own
oral exam sessions
to prepare for the exams.
Finally, look under the "Exams/Reviews" tab to find a link to
old exams.
- As soon as the electronic submission link for the first
project is working,
we will notify you. In the meantime,
just sit tight. Please note: at some
point you will need
to submit an electronic copy of all three of your projects,
so don't delete any of your electronic copies.
- The link for electronic submission of your projects
is not up yet, but should
be within the next day or so.
Stay tuned. The due date for electronic submission
will
probably be around Friday at midnight.

Mathematica as well as some material specific
to the first project. The schedule is:

Thursday, Sept, 17, 2-3 pm, and 3-4 pm
