March 25, 2011 Exam 2 will be Wednesday, April 6, from 7-8:30 pm in RAMY C250. Please bring a calculator but no other electronic devices. The exam will cover all material up to, and including, Friday, April 1, i.e. Chapters 4 and 5 plus sections 6.1 through 6.3.

February 25, 2011 We will skip section 4.9 for now. We'll cover 4.9 in Chapter 6 when we talk about sums of random variables.

Exams: Closed book, no electronic devices permitted except for a calculator.
1. Exam 1: Wednesday, Feb 16, 7-8:30 pm, RAMY C250
  - Here are the links to a couple of exams that I have given in the past. The first is exam 1 and the answers from spring 2002 and the second exam and the answers from from spring 2004.
2. Exam 2: Wednesday, April 6, 7-8:30 pm, RAMY C250 .
  - The second exam will cover all of the material up to and including the lecture on Friday, April 1. This will be all of Chapters 4 and 5 and sections 6.1 through 6.3.
  - Here are a couple of old exams: exam 2 and the answers from spring 2002 and exam 2 and the answers from spring 2004. Please note that these two exams did not cover any material from Chapter 6. Your exam will cover 6.1 through 6.3, so please study Quiz 4.
3. Final Exam: May 4, 1:30-4 pm, Location: CHEM 140
  - The final exam is cumulative. You may bring a calculator and one 3 x 5 index card.
