Office Hours and Computer Lab help sessions
Our course assistant, Juliet Hougland, will hold 3 office hours in a computer lab, in hope that each of you can find some time every week that fits into your schedules. Note that these sessions are optional, and are designed to help you get familiar with a statistical program enough to solve homework problems. All sessions within one week are expected to be similar. All notes and worksheets used in these sessions will be posted on this website.

Required text:

"Statistics and Probability", 8th Edition, by Devore. (Note: the 6th and 7th edition can also be used.)

Grading policy:    

Homework (6): 30%

Midterms (2): 30%

Final:   30%

Course Participation:  10%

Midterm 1:  Mon, Feb 14, 2011, in class. Closed book. One formula sheet allowed. BRING A CALCULATOR!

Midterm 2:  Fri, Mar 18, 2011, in class. Closed book. One formula sheet allowed. BRING A CALCULATOR!

Final Exam:  Mon, May 2, 2011. 4:30-7pm. In ECCR 245. This is a cumulative final exam. Closed book. One formula sheet (double sided) allowed. BRING A CALCULATOR!
