Kadomtseev-Petviasli( KP) is an integrable equation that models two dimensional water wavwe in shallow water. We consider the solution to the initial value problem for the latter equation \corresponding to data that have a " line" profile and hence do not decay along the line direction. The construction involves constructing a Green function for the heat operator with a time dependent potential.
