Evolutionary game theory started as an application of the theory of games to Biology. Recently, evolutionary game theory has become relevant to Economics and Social Sciences in general. The theory is well suited to models in which a big number of agents (or players) interact over time. One of the main idea is that agents change the strategy they follow based on the observation of how the average player is doing. So, the natural tool to study these models is Dynamical Systems.
In this talk we will give an introduction to evolutionary game theory and try to connect it to the theory of voting. We will show a simple model on how pre-election public opinion forms and changes over time.
