My project is a variation of the Ice Melting lab we did at Digital Currents, All that I am changing is the programing and some art. Many variables will be used in my final project, so I will better learn how to use variables. All of my code will be written with extensive comments so that anyone who may look at the code will know what is going on. My application will be highly costomiseable. I will learn how to use color boxes, drop down boxes, and input text boxes much better than I knew how to before. I will gain much more experience and clarification throughout my project about programing. Hopefully anyone that looks at my programing will also be able to develope the same skills I have throughout the Digital Currents class.

This project doesn't contain much art transformation. Much of it is thorugh programing. A few things that will be changed are the background, the color of the water, and the pullout bar. The background will just be an image from google. The color of the water will be changed by a dropdown color box. The pullout bar wil only have text changed and input boxed inserted to it. |
| Math: |
My program uses quite a bit of math, constantly, throughout the application. Units of measure and conversions are the biggest part of my application. The program uses the bakground and a specified height to know how much of the substance should melt. Some of the math included is feet per pixel, which is a very simple conversion. i just divide the number of pixels of the background height with the number of feet of the actual object the background is representing. |

75 percent or more of my project will be programming. I want my project to be highly customizeable so the user has to be able to input nearly ever bit of information. The substance color will be modified by the user as well as the height and the speed. Using actionscript I can also inport sound and different times, to my applicaiton. I want the user to be able to select a song to be played. I will use the combo box function included in actionscript 3.0 to have the user select a song. |
