BibTeX: bibliography styles
Here is the same selection from a bibliographical database,
rendered in four standard LaTeX bibliographic styles.
The reference to ``Bailey'' in the article looks like this
in the LaTeX source file sect3.tex;
A more complicated form \cite{Bailey} of the
command specifies specifize size and placement:
\bibliographystyle{plain}
Entries are ordered alphabetically;
The Bailey citation appears like this in section 3 of the article:
\bibliographystyle{unsrt}
Entries are not ordered alphabetically,
but in the order they are first referenced.
The Bailey citation appears like this in section 3 of the article:
\bibliographystyle{abbrv}
The bibliography looks the same as for plain style
except that first names and names of journals and months are
abbreviated;
The Bailey citation appears like this:
\bibliographystyle{alpha}
The bibliography looks the same as for plain style
except that the reference markers are not just 1,2,3... but
are based on authors' initials and publication year;
