Awards and distinctions  I am included in the 2007 (61th) of the Marquis Who's Who in America.

I was sponsored by the EPSRC during the years of my PhD. I finished my PhD in two years, a year less than the minimum time and two years less than the expected time.

During my undergraduate studies I received scholarship for the year 1995-1996 from the University of Crete. I was first among 100 students. I graduated second from a class of approximately 70.

I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Physics Department of the University of Crete since my second year of studies as an award for my academic accomplishments.

During high school I was the first to be selected to represent my school for the environmental conference at Zakynthos and I was my school's main representative. I graduated first among 300 students.
