I took the summer of 2009 off to hitchhike around europe. I visited England, Scotland, Wales, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, and Turkey.

Some highlights of the trip:

• Road triping with Caz all over the UK,
• Reuniting with Brooks in Venice,
• Crawling out a window onto the red tile roof of our hostel and watching Florence at night.
• Hitchhiking in Budapest (Cherries!)
• Meeting and staying in the home of Willy, the drunk older man who took me off the street in Austria.
• Climbing the tallest mountain in Slovenia
• Mountain biking with Tom in Germany
• Adopting a family in Switzerland for two weeks. Trekking, bike rides, and swims. Thank you Bruno and family!
• Snorkeling and scooter rides around the Greek islands
• Being invited to stay in the Muslim home of a complete stranger in a tiny town in Turkey
