Research

My research is focused on the invariant tori of area and volume-preserving maps. These tori often form boundaries to transport, and therefore play a fundamental role in the dynamics of the system. I have worked with my advisor, Dr. James Meiss, to develop numerical methods to study these tori in three-dimensional volume-preserving maps. This work has been accepted for publication and is available below. I am currently employing a new method to study the tori in area-preserving twist maps. This work is in progress and should be available soon
