The above image shows the solution to the
barotropic vorticity equations on the sphere
arising from a disturbance in a zonal flow.
These equations are a simple model of mid-
altitude atmospheric dynamics. The governing
equations were discretized via a radial basis
function pseudospectral method (RBF-PS).
