About me

I received my Ph.D. from C.U. Boulder in Applied Mathematics in December 07, under the supervision of Prof. Fornberg. My area of research is in Numerical Analysis, the Radial Basis Functions. I currently am an ASP post-doc in the IMAGe group of NCAR. I am from Belgium and have been enjoying, along with my basset hound Ben, the wonderful hospitality of the US for the past 9 years.

Research

I currently focus my research on studying the role of the Radial Basis Function (RBF) shape parameter in the contexts of interpolation and of solving PDEs. One important tool used for this purpose is the RBF-QR method which Prof. Fornberg and myself developed in 2006.
